The Lawn is the space most events are built around. It runs in two tiers - an upper and a lower lawn of roughly equal size - with the slope between them doing work that usually costs money: it gives a seated ceremony natural sightlines to the front, and it separates a ceremony from a reception without moving guests off the space.

At around 8,000 square metres across both tiers, there is room for a large marquee plus the back-of-house a caterer needs - prep, refrigeration, bar store, staff parking - rather than a marquee wedged into the only flat patch. The lower lawn runs down to Ironstone Creek, so the water is part of the outlook rather than somewhere you drive to.

Half-lawn hire is available where a single tier is enough. It is the same ground and the same access, priced for a smaller footprint.

Before you enquire

Will a marquee fit?
Yes. Either tier takes a large marquee with room around it. Confirm your marquee supplier's exact footprint and pegging requirements with us before you book - the ground is sloping, and that affects both siting and levelling.
Is the slope a problem for guests?
Not for walking between the tiers. It does matter for seating, dance floors and anything on wheels, so those go on the flatter ground within each tier. We will walk you through the siting on a site visit.
Can we use the full lawn for a ceremony and the half for a reception?
The half-lawn rate is for a single tier. If you want both tiers you are booking the full lawn, which is the usual arrangement for a ceremony-and-reception day.
Is there power on the lawn?
Tell us what your band, caterer or lighting needs and we will confirm what we can run on the day. The property has backup generation on site.
